Educational Offerings

The Franciscan School of Theology offers three academic and professional degrees, and in cooperation with the Graduate Theological Union (GTU), a Master of Arts. Students may pursue one degree, or in certain combinations, two concurrently.

• Master of Arts in Ministry for a Multicultural Church (MAMC)
• Master of Theological Studies (MTS)
• Master of Divinity (M.Div.)
• Concurrent Degrees:
  • MAMC/MTS
  • M.DIV./MTS
  • MAMC/MA
  • M.Div./MA
• Master of Arts (MA) in cooperation with the GTU

Program Assessment

FST regularly assesses its academic programs to ensure they continue to provide the desired depth and breadth of theological education as defined in this catalog, and that they conform to the standards of the WASC and ATS accrediting agencies. To assist in the process, students are asked to complete self-assessments at various points in their programs. The assessment questionnaires are customized to reflect degree program requirements. Academic advisors assist in the process.
